Piekenierskloof Grenache Noir
Grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region from unirrigated vineyards that were planted in 1973. Grapes are harvested by hand, malolactic fermentation is completed in tank and then the wine is aged for 12 months in 500l barrels. It shows lots of juicy red berry, strawberry, along with earthy notes and hints of pepper, cloves, cardamom pod and smokiness. Medium bodied and well balanced with lively fine tannins and an elegant complexity on a long finish. Best served slightly chilled.
